CLUBHOUSE LAWNS RENOVATION

During the winter of 2012, Nantucket GC renovated the back lawn of the clubhouse where we hold functions to enlarge the area. The purpose was to fit a bigger tent and stage for larger venues to help increase revenue.  We also put in a small patio for an outdoor bar. For the renovation, we extended out the lawn, re-graded the area, installed new irrigation, repaired broken or inefficient drainage, and eventually laid out new sod.

BUNKER RENOVATION

Nantucket GC converted their bunkers to Better Billy Bunker Liner. It’s a new liner installed where we take out all of the existing liner, grade the soil down the drainage and install 2” of 3/8 gravel throughout the bunker. The purpose of this method is to eliminate bunker washouts after heavy rainstorms and eliminate any contamination from soil.  In the end -- a huge savings when it comes to maintenance costs.

PRACTICE FACILITY CONSTRUCTION

Nantucket GC constructed a new practice facility and we had to grow in the green, approach areas, two practice tees and sod around the bunkers. Once completed, the practice facility is state-of-the-art in its design with a new Teaching Center structure.

STALOK CART PATH RENOVATION

StaLok paving material is natural aggregate soil enhanced with a polymer. It is as hard as asphalt but is more flexible. It also presents a more “natural” look fitting for Nantucket GC and reduces labor costs after a heavy downpour.

PUMP HOUSE UPGRADES

Complete upgrade of all equipment to pump 1800 GPM and repairs of subsurface flooring in station house. This project was critical to the proper allocation of water throughout the golf course.
